New York City is launching a pilot program to offer financial assistance to eligible homeowners for converting their basements, attics, or garages into apartments.

The program aims to increase affordable housing options in the city by utilizing existing space.

Fifteen homeowners will be selected for the pilot program and could receive up to $395,000 in funding for their conversion projects. [ more ]
